We believe that partnering with community and grassroot organizations provides a unique opportunity to practically address resident and community needs one neighborhood at a time.
Service providers that are located within the communities they serve bring the value of service, location, experienced leadership, a great communication system and the ability to support people in a variety of life situations. And these are the very same assets that give local organizations the potential to effectively address community needs and critical issues and bring about positive change in their community.
Metro works with local organizations to assist with the development of infrastructure and foundational documents and policies in order to be responsive to public funding and provide quality of service to those most in need.
How Metro can help.
To survive and flourish in the 21st century, we believe that organizations are most effective in service to people not just within its four walls, but also out in the world. And we want to help groups to do just this.
We partner with community leaders and stakeholders to help them bring about organization for service.
We do this by providing them with the education, resources, and tools needed for them to address their community’s unique needs.
We’ve partnered with over 50 groups and organizations over the last 50 years, and have affiliates in 10 cities across the country. Our goal is to partner with even more organizations in 2022, with the goal of helping them strengthen and increase their capacity to serve their community and better help impoverished people.
Metro will work with you to provide: assistance with your 501c3 application, registration with the secretary of state of your region, establish critical policies and procedures manuals and forms, prepare and/or submit grant applications to foundations, cities, states and federal funders, and staff, board and leadership development, training and ongoing capacity building.
