An important message from our CEO:
Metro Community Ministries Inc. is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our employees and participants. Because of this, we are closely monitoring the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic according to the guidelines and recommendations of the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). We want to share the actions we are taking to help protect our employees and service population.
We’ve advised our employees to follow public health authorities’ guidance regarding hygiene and personal travel, personal space, presence in public settings, and are reinforcing agency policy encouraging employees who exhibit flu-like symptoms to stay home and consult with a medical professional.
Our work is more important than ever. As a social service agency working with vulnerable communities, we are adapting our programs and reviewing alternative strategies to continue serving those who depend on us. We are committed to continuing vital services that our participants depend on, and ensuring that service recipients are notified of potential impacts to agency closures and service alternatives.
Thank you to all who have reached out during these stressful times seeking to volunteer and assist as the need arises.
